The method and criteria for selecting the Operating Partner organization (or coalition of organizations) that will take the Pacific View site into its new incarnation will be voted on at the Encinitas City Council’s April 8 meeting.
Pacific View Activation Subcommittee members Tony Kranz and Lisa Shaffer’s report is based on their evaluations of the property, input from city staff and members of the public.
In the greatest detail yet, it lists “Starting Assumptions” (basic criteria for the Operating Partner candidates, including financial viability), outlines the proposed role of the Operating Partner, proposes a two-stage selection process, and brings a few loose ends to the council’s attention.

The City of Encinitas website now features a page devoted to Pacific View, which may serve as a clearing house for people to post their interests and capabilities and find potential partners.
