SavePacificView.org's Mary Fleener presents the Encinitas Union School District's superintendent and board with the nearly 500 Save Pacific View emails you've sent so far. An overflow crowd of Pacific View supporters packed the March 11 meeting, and those who spoke on behalf of stopping the auction and saving the property were diverse, passionate and eloquent. Trustee Maureen Muir's effort to get the board to set a new meeting date to discuss stopping the auction was abruptly squelched by the other board members, but it's too soon to know how the board will ultimately react to this tremendous community outpouring. In the meantime, getting more people to send Save Pacific View emails will keep the pressure on.
